Having more than 25 years of experience as both an external consultant and internal practitioner, he can view organizations from multiple perspectives. 

From a recent podcast David presented: "I'll retire when I stop learning. So I'm willing to bet I'll be working for a very, very long time. I've found my calling."  He brings this approach to every engagement.

Prism specializes in working with smaller and growing businesses, both in the non-profit and for-profit space, across a variety of industries, and even globally.  This provides a perspective that is hard to replicate to understand the labor markets, present different reward strategies and approaches to consider and ensure the programs are built for your organization.

He says all these perspectives are the key to Prism.  He leads Prism Compensation Consulting to first focus on understanding the business, culture and objectives.  Listening and engaging clients in discussions, walking alongside leadership which clearly aligns their objectives to build the rewards programs and then it serves as the foundation to implement and communicate the programs; which given our transparent world communication can be more important than the program design itself.

  • Designed hundreds of broad based compensation programs in a variety of industries over the past 25 years

  • A specialist in executive, sales/incentives, career path structures, and global approaches

  • Worked across well over fifty countries in all regions of the world

  • Provided consulting services to organizations to as little as five employees and up to seventy-five thousand employees

  • Served as an adjunct professor teaching Global Business and Human Resources, as well as a guest speaker at universities/conferences

  • Holds the following certifications: Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and a Global Remuneration Professional (GRP)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, and an MBA focusing on Finance and International Business from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN
